what are your feelings on coffee?
So, I can’t drink regular milk but I have been loving making latte’s, tea,
and shakes with my soy milk. I have recently started doing this within the
past 4-6 months(depending on the item lattes 6 months, tea 4 months). Do
you think this is why I have gained weight is due to soy? I am not a fan of
coconut or rice milk. I like almond milk, but prefer the texture of soy
milk. Obviously the holidays, college started last August of 2013, and late
night snacking also have an impact of my weight gain. Do you think if I cut
out soy and go to almond it would benefit me? Please go more in-depth on a
video about this!!

All the foods u make are pretty expensive and not for the kind of person
who is very busy
I know flavored yogurt is not as good because of the massive amount of
sugar but I can’t give it up and I won’t give it up everrrrr lol! I’ll try
to swap out my flavored yogurt twice a week with regular and we’ll give it
a shot. However, I like the flavored kind and it is a lot healthier than
many many other options for a sweet snack.

True story: We have white bread in our house about 3 times a year… it’s
not culturally accepted to feed your kids white bread on a daily basis in
Norway. Like really, people frown upon it. We basically only eat whole
grain bread. We have a lot of american tourists at my job in the summer,
and 90% of them go all “ew” over the sandwiches unless they are made with
white bread. BUT I just have to ask: Do americans really feed their kids
cereal, pancakes and white bread for breakfast, or is that just a
stereotype…?

Love your videos, what you say and all you stand for. Your amazing and I
know if I eat the foods you mention that I am most successful at losing
weight and not starving. I mean not that its good but I don’t drink all the
water I am supposed to and I don;t hardly exercise and eating just these
foods and avoiding the ones you suggest be avoided I LOSE WEIGHT AND FEEL
FANTASTIC! SO keep up the great work, I just shared your video on my

Greek yogurt tastes very chemically though, it doesn’t taste healthy at all
and also greek yogurt is not probiotic which in my opinion is the health
reason for eating yogurt.

You forgot to mention meat and milk products! 😉 They are very much
responsible for many diseases, as well as bad for the environment, and
don´t forget about animal cruelty!

seriously, who thought pudding was healthy?!
Whole food Soy products do NOT raise estrogen. They decrease excess
estrogen from the body by binding to it and helping it to leave the body.
This is why eating soy increases the odds of breast cancer survival and
reduces risk of relapse in breast cancer survivors.

For us, psychologists, all those things are obvious and the research papers
have been there for at least 30 years. I respect the speaker, but she
didn’t say anything new enough or novel enough for a TED talk. In fact,
Positive Psychology has been studying the things that enhance general
health instead of just diagnosing disorders for quite some time. So the
real value of this talk, in my opinion, is its motivational aspect.
And who can afford to pay for integrative medicine and 1 hour of a doctor’s
time? Big celebrities in Southern Ca?
I dare you to look at yourself… And make a change… I know I am… This
is the raw truth about health… Lissa Rankin is right!
What are you thinking + feeling + being… Comment below if you watched
it…. I believe in listening to your body: while it whispers, you can
start healing… And LIVING!
Finally a medical practitioner who has the guts to say openly that there is
a cause to every symptom. Are all the others too dumb to know it or just
playing along with the big pharma for their financial benefit ? How did we
get to this point where everyone in only interested in the treatment of the
symptom and ignore the elephant in the room, the cause ?

The problem with people in the western world in general, is that we yearn
to live a life where we are constantly experiencing greater and greater
levels of indulgence and wealth, living in a never-ending series of
euphoric revelationary experiences. Which is just unrealistic expectation
and in any case, excessive wealth such as winning the lottery can be a very
negative event in a person’s life in general.
This has got to be the best speaker and topic ever presented on TED! Her
calling at age seven to become a healer is very understandable. This is
true medicine and those other pill pushers are quaky. Whole health with
ourselves writing our own prescription according to our Pilot Light, listen
very carefully to yourself.
Sooo… She overworked her ass off to the point where she couldn’t heal her
patients, turned to art and suddenly found a way to heal people thanks to
her inner wise self?
Im sorry but her grin is SO annoying. Even her body movements.. ahhh. cant
watch. bye
It seems to me that so many of these TEDx speakers are nut jobs.
Has TED jumped the shark?
Working in the Ob/Gyn profession doubtless consists of treating
disproportionate amounts of psychogenic symptoms from women who are unhappy
mentally, and this translates into ‘pain’. Which is very real in the
experience but is in the mind. Somatisation is very common amongst women,
especially those with depression/anxiety. An emotionally reactive mind
experiences pain very differently to a happy, fulfilled mind.
Think of a man giving this same talk?
Eating Brown Rice and Beans cures all this– but People want to eat
poison instead.

Spot on. As a physician I confess, majority of patients subconsciously love
to be sick, it is their identity. Unfortunately, as any identity it is very
difficult one to get rid of.
